Blueprint Node corruption?

I was going through my Game State renaming variables like Timelines to something that were easier to read instead of Timeline_4 and I found a Timeline_5 that can’t be located in the BP. I renamed the Timeline I can’t delete it or copy it - I can duplicate it. I searched in Find in Blueprint and Find in All Blueprints giving the name something simple to type and no results found.

I am thinking of copying all the other “good” nodes to a new game state file as I fear this is a corrupted node. This state file has changed but even going back in perforce to a non corrupted version if it is corrupted and bringing it up to date as this is one of the oldest files in the project like 5 or 6 years old at this point it would be just faster to copy and paste the nodes into a new fresh file.

Anyone experienced this issue? All my years of Unreal I haven’t had to worry to much about this happening.

Add+ I did try to duplicate it and that worked giving it a new name and _0 then I was allowed to delete that component. I will create a new clean game state file and move everything over as I wait to hear back, I am pretty sure this was checked in corrupted maybe years ago looking at the rev history. I have no idea which version it happen but it don’t matter.

I’ve experienced it. Ghost variables I call them. Never seen a timeline but widget animations do it on a semi-regular basis. I’ve yet to find a workaround better than:

You could try making a copy of the project and delete those three:

See if it changes anything. Doubt it.
