that`s because no UV-Space is assigned to newly created polygons…unwrap and retexture should solve your problem!

This was actually after unwraping and retexturing. it seems the value of large triangles had to be higher. I boosted it from 1000 to 100000, and it was able to add the uv mapping there with unwrap.
