Hello fellow Unreal Engine users,
I hope you’re all doing well. I’m new to the Unreal Engine software and have encountered a frustrating problem that I can’t seem to resolve on my own. I’m hoping someone here can provide some insight or assistance.
Issue: Every time I start Unreal Engine, I experience the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) after just a few minutes. This problem is unique to Unreal Engine, as I have been using other resource-intensive software like Cinema 4D, Redshift, Houdini, and After Effects without any issues on the same machine.
Machine Specifications:
- Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0 Build 19045)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor
- Memory: 132GB RAM
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Updated graphics card drivers: I made sure to install the latest drivers for my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090.
- Cleaned up the computer: I performed a thorough cleanup of my system to ensure there are no conflicting or unnecessary files.
- Permissions: I checked and granted any necessary permissions that Unreal Engine might require.
- Software Updates: I made sure Unreal Engine was up to date with the latest version available.
Despite taking these measures, I still encounter the BSOD consistently whenever I attempt to open Unreal Engine. I have even created a video to showcase the error, which occurs every time I open the software.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions from the community. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Unreal Engine? Are there any additional troubleshooting steps that I may have overlooked? Please let me know if you need any more information about my system or the error itself.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
