How do I make the car start driving when pressing “PlayerStart” in U5 made in Blender? Sorry to ask again, but I’m looking for the simplest way. I’m still working on the game and I really need it.
I don’t want YouTube, just the description, and Talkal isn’t helping me. This will help me a lot in the game, because it’s an asset.
Hey there @kkkkrthwthth! Just so I understand your request a bit better, what are you trying to pull off? Just as a reference, Youtube links are often used since they can illustrate the idea that should (mostly) transcend language barriers.
- Just a “Press start to play” screen in which the car sits idle, and is allowed to accept input after the player hits start?
or
- A car that drives automatically (like an old arcade cabinet game) until a player hits the “Start” button?
I want to know if the car I made with Blender and after exporting it to the fbx file format and importing it to Unreal Engine 5, what should I do to make it start driving? Sorry, my English is broken.
And can I use cars like this one?
There’s bold black text at the bottom:
NoAI: This model may not be used in datasets for, in the development of, or as input to generative AI programs.
Does that mean I can use it without modifying the car to allow the AI to help me?
Hi, here you could do SetTransformActorLocation to change the velocity and the sight.
Here is also a pic from free cars from epic games store free
I don’t know if you remember, but I advertised my game here, and it’s a copy of Carmageddon. So I’d like to ask if I can use these models and modify them myself so no one complains. And thank you for the advice
Oh I understand, you are just trying to set a custom vehicle up. There aren’t that many text based resources on how to do this from start to finish. I know you mentioned you didn’t want them, but most learning resources will be Youtube videos for this specific topic so I will have to include at least one.
So first I’ll give you the text based resources first, but you may need to utilize the video resources if possible.
This will help setup a vehicle that’s already made the proper way but doesn’t go over making it the proper way:
An older tutorial that goes over a little more:
However, if you need help getting the vehicle prepared for import, you may need to see this tutorial. Apologies, it’s a video:
To answer this question, the “NoAI” product tag indicates to generative AI programs that a product is not to be used for generative AI data collection. It has no bearing on if you can use it commercially or not. You can always ask AI things as long as you aren’t uploading that file to be used for AI training. Any asset sold on the Fab marketplace under the standard license can be used personally or commercially.
I can also pre-translate my posts as well to help out, what’s your original language?

Thank you, my brother from abroad. If I have any questions, I’ll ask here.
No worries! Let me know if you have any questions!

By the way, can I somehow advertise my game here on the official forum once I’ve made at least the first map? I’m re-creating Carmageddon because it’s the game of my childhood, I bought it from my local kiosk a while ago :D. I even have the disc from back then somewhere.
Yes, the showcase tag is perfectly suited for that. I also loved Carmageddon and Twisted Metal!

Tak, tag showcase idealnie do tego pasuje. Też uwielbiałem Carmageddon i Twisted Metal!
