Hey, dev community Please help me with this.
There is this weird shadow showing up. It seems to happen when I drop in megascans.
I don’t have this problem with clean Landscape. I think it may be the camera.
Also, some tips about post-processing and lighting would be gladly appreciated.
I’m not sure how to go about this.

Hi,
It seems like the shadow distance issue. Check your directional light or other light settings and change the distance of shadows. Unreal engine uses different solutions for different distances regarding light, so lights that are dynamic and more detailed will be shown close up but be replaced at the distance with another solution.
Okay I try that. It seems to also cast that same shadow when I move around in viewport. Do you know if there is a way to disable that. Or will that be fixed with the distance shadows.
Thank you for your reply!
You can disable different shadows, but whatever the deleted shadow solved for, you will also lose that. It can be cascade shadows, contact shadows, dynamic light shadows,…
Hello!
If your light is dynamic, you can try changing the “Dynamic Shadow Distance MovableLight” in order to remove the “Block” shadow
Hope this helps!
Have you solved this problem? I got similar one as well. But the suggested fixes here didn’t help.
