Block PCG Foliage from Spawning Meshes in a Waterbody River

Hello, Everyone!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate/revere it!

I cannot figure out to block PCG Foliage from spawning meshes in a WaterbodyRiver. I have no trouble with the WaterbodyLake. has any one else figured this out? I have tried several things and followed several tutorials and nothing works.

WaterbodyLake

WaterbodyRiver

Bounds Modifier for the WaterbodyRiver spline

I’ve tried Set for the Mode as well. The Spline Sampler is set to On Splne and Distance.

Looks like you have three negative values and one positive.

Thanks for looking, that was just a typo - it doesn’t work with a positive value for the Max Y either.

Try min -1000 all three

and max 1000 all three

Thanks again, but that didn’t work either. I think I’m going to have to go into Top View, Put a Blueprint Actor closed loop spline into the scene, add points, and outline the river then in the PCG graph, use a Spline Sample, get interior points, project them onto the landscape and use a Difference node to subtract from the PCG foliage.

you could manually force the PCG to line trace and check what material/texture it resolves to before placing or not placing the instance…
But you are going to have a faster/easier time doing the opposite. Select all the instances manually and delete.
