I have tried multiple time to import my mesh with an animation going though multiple blend shapes. Its all working in maya. I can export it and open it in a new scene all working. However when i bring it into unreal the blend shapes are completely broken.

Hi Rogersj,
What version of the engine are you currently working in and did blend shapes work for you in a previous version of the engine? Also, what version of Maya are you working in?
Unreal Engine 4.4.3. I have never used any of the previous versions unfortunately and its the first time trying to export blendshapes. I am currently using Maya 2015. I am sure I am just missing something I just cant work out what.
Hi Rogersj,
I was able to import blend shapes from Maya 2015 into 4.4.3 following the instructions from this link: [FBX Morph Target Pipeline in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation][1]
If you’re not using a skeletal mesh -like my test from cube to a sphere- be sure you have “Import Rigid Mesh” selected:
Hi Rogersj,
I was able to import blendshapes into UE4.4.3 from Maya 2015… In my test I used a cube morphed into a sphere. You have to export with blend shapes selected in Maya. When importing into UE4, if your blend shapes are not part of a skeletal mesh (like my example) you have to have “Import as a Rigid Mesh” selected in addition to “Include Morph Targets.”
