BlenderUserSkfb - The Town Gate of Brody (Old Design)

The town gate of Brody, formerly known as Pförten, once stood as one of the defining architectural features of the Brühl family residence town. Several gates of this type existed in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, but only one has survived into the present day. This 3D interpretation recreates the earlier version of the structure, based on the historical blueprint by Johann Christoph Knöffel, which included a guard house on each side of the main passage.

This design reflects the original appearance of the gate before twentieth‑century changes removed the guard buildings and replaced them with wider openings for modern traffic. The model captures the proportions, roof forms, and architectural details associated with the late Baroque to early Rococo period, giving you a faithful representation of the gate as it once stood.

The geometry is clean and detailed. Most of the vertex density is concentrated in the roof tiles and decorative trim, which can be simplified or replaced with texture maps if you are optimizing for real‑time performance. The model works well in ray‑traced rendering pipelines and can also be reduced for game engines without losing its architectural character.

This version of the gate is suitable for a wide range of creative uses. It can serve as a city entrance, a fortified boundary, or a landmark in historical or fantasy game environments. In film and visual effects it provides convincing background architecture for period scenes or reconstructed settings. The model also works well in metaverse projects, where detailed and historically grounded structures help create immersive virtual spaces. The included STL file allows you to 3D print the complete early design of the gate, making it ideal for tabletop dioramas, miniature terrain, or collectors who want a physical representation of this rare architectural form.
