Hii, I created a spine-like structure in Blender that animates along a curve. Now I want to export the animation to Unreal Engine, but I can’t.
I’ve already tried baking the animation, but the movement along the curve isn’t being retained.
Merging it or converting it to a mesh doesn’t produce any results either – the animation isn’t preserved.
My question: How can I correctly export a curve animation from Blender to Unreal Engine? What settings or workflows are required for this?
Hello there @Alinamachtwiener!
Blender and Unreal don’t have the best relation, they tend to clash with each other in different scenarios, specially animations,
So, the first approach here would be to reset export/import settings in both UE and Blender, in order to rule out any conflicts between either configuration. After that, test importing your spine asset again.
If the issue persists, then please follow the method detailed here for the transfer. Additionally, you can try with an alternative 3D tool, like Maya, and check if the curve animation is retained there.
