[Blender to UE4] Imported bones transform is different from original, how to fix it?

Hi there I’ve been playing around with Blender and UE4 for a few month, I have no problem for importing skeletal mesh and static mesh, but i can’t import animation without failing. I’m pretty shure someone here already met my problems.


On left side we can see my skeletal mesh in the skeletal mesh editor and on right side the skeletal mesh with an animation(the animation is working fine in blender!). As you can see bones are kind of flip on X and Y axis. It is my problem, i don’t know how to avoid that and have the same transform of my skeletal mesh.
Do I have to do something in particular when importing in UE4 animation, or when exporting i’m doing it wrong? I export the same way as in the twich support for blender pt1 on UE4 channel. Maybe it as something to do with the primary and secondary axis just on top of bake animation in the fbx exporter? I try to tweak this axis with Y,X(by default); -Y,X;Y,-X;-X,-Y;… But nothing is working.

i have a similar problem only my bones didnt swap positions but did weird orientation too…
Right now i have imported in Ue4 more then 50 Animations and i always have some problem but its easy to Fix doing what i described in that Link

Ah thanks a lot! The problem is coming from UE4 or blender? Maybe from both?

More or less i think the problem is in blender it have slight problems with fbx files but if u read the link i gave ppl dont know how to fix it as for other engines like Unity3d exporter works grate (i think for unity u dont even need to export it works with. Blend files)
But this problem with. Fbx didnt stop me from using blender with UE4 I make all my things in blender. Before blender i was using Maya3d and i can say that i dont wanna go back.
