Blender Alembic Groom not showing in Unreal 5.1 and above

Hello,

So I have a problem and I cannot find a solution anywhere at all.

I customized a Metahuman in Unreal 5.03 and made her a custom groom as well using Blender Particle System. Everything works fine there, but I want to be able to use my model in the newest version of Unreal. Yet for some reason the groom I made which works fine in 5.03 is invisible in Unreal 5.1 and up. It doesn’t matter what I do or try, I cannot import it and get it to show up. I cannot migrate it and get it to show up, it just doesn’t work.

I even tried to make a groom with the new Curves system of Blender but it gives me the same results, an invisible groom that I cannot do anything with at all. Honestly I’m devastated by this as I don’t want to be stuck using an older version of Unreal just because my groom doesn’t work in a higher version of the program.

Other topics all focus on the fact that they use a Mac, but I don’t, I have a Windows PC and I cannot find any topic with a solution at all.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong so I can get my groom to work in Unreal 5.2 and I can learn the newer version of the engine.

Thank you.

When you say it’s invisible, is it invisible if you just drag the groom into the viewport or when you bind it the your character?

When you double click the groom to open it the viewport is empty, even with a material assigned.
Normally, even without a material you would see the hair strands but then being grey. I see nothing because there is nothing to see, it’s invisible.
Does that clarify things?
