Blender 2.75 & UE4 work together great now! All Except Retargeting!

Blender 2.75 exports skeletal meshes & animations now almost without a hitch, well for the ones that I have done, so far. lol

I even brought the Epic Mannequin in & out of Blender with little trouble, didn’t change anything though, I’m not that brave.

But when I try to retarget to the Skeleton in Unreal, I see that the Armature object & sometimes even the mesh name shows up in the hierarchy.
Which messes up the retargeting. (everything matches but the extra object names seems to still mess up the retargeted animations)
(the skeleton & bones even show up but in the animations they’re squooshed down to a little mess at the origin)

Anyone know of a way to get Unreal to ignore those objects or Blender not to include them in the naming of the hierarchy?
So they can be retargeted and the UE4 animations used.
(Already tried to fix the export script, still showed one of the object’s names.)

thanks

it would be far easier to just use your own animations and not the UE4 animations

When you import the Mannequin, is it creating a new root object/bone under the armature?, if so you could try changing that as the Armature becomes the root, so you might be seeing a doubling up of that. Another thing to do with animation is only export the armature (tick box in the export settings)
