Blended animation not playing

I put in an animation blend for a casting animating when the player hits a key. I’m not seeing the animation trigger at all. Could you please take a look to see if you can figure out what I did wrong?

I did notice that in the Layered blend per bone Asset Override Editor, it says “No possible overrides found. Either there are no nodes referencing assets in the parent class or this is not a derived blueprint.” Could this be lending to what the issue is?

Do Blends not work with all types of Anim BP State Machines?

A side note, if I don’t Blend and simply plug in the casting animation, it works, but this particular animation lift the model 10 cm off the ground. Is there an easy way to edit the BP to get it to not do that?
