Hello everyone!
I’m somehow new to UE, I learned it 2 years ago a little but I forgot everything. So now I’m following Unreal Sensei’s tutorial as lots of beginners do and I am stuck on creating a blank project. I already understood that now UE creates a landscape and not a chairs and a table scene as a blank project but I still have a problem.
When I create a new black project it opens this scene with a landscape where I can rotate the camera with LMB and RMB and nothing more. I can’t even navigate and move in the scene by clicking RMB and WASD.
Also, when I try to save the scene that I edited by clicking Ctrl+S it opens this tab and I for some reason have to save it as a new map inside the project to open it later 'cause after reopening the project UE will open a blank landscape without eny previous edits If I don’t save the edited scene as a new map.
When I open the Minimal_Default map from the UE starter pack, edit something there and click Ctrl+S to save the project, close it, even thumbnail says that there are chairs and a table. When I reopen this project it comes out that UE always opens that landscape blank scene from the first image without any possibility of moving and navigating in the scene.
If I really want to navigate in this blank landscape scene and be on the ground where are all the widgets of lights and where I CAN move in the scene by pushing LMB+WASD I found out that I have to play current level by clicking on the play button above (Alt+P) then stop the simulation (Escape button) and then save the scene IN the project to have a possibility to reopen this scene later by opening it in Content Drawer where it saves. Because as I said UE always opens the scene from the first image where I can’t move.
So the actual question: What project do I have to create or how should I save my project/open it without opening firstly the blank landscape scene from the first image where I can’t move myself in the scene?
Thank you!
