Blackmagic hardware on an M1 Mac?

Does Unreal support Blackmagic hardware when running on an M1-max Mac?

I am running a M1 max MacBook Pro and it runs UR5.0.1 just fine. When I go to the content drawer/ media/ I do not get the option for “BlackMagic Media Output” like I see in the UE5 documentation or on YouTube. I am using the Blackmagic “Decklink 8k Pro” (a UE5 approved card) and a Sonnett expansion chassis. It runs Divinci Resolve no problem. I should mention the “Blackmagic Media Player” and “Media Framework Utilities” plug-ins are enabled.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Rich

Same here for a MacBookPro M1 Max with Desktop Video 12.4 installed. The BM Driver does not show up.

I am having the same issue on an M1 Max MBPro, with Decklink 8k Pro via Sonnett chassis. Any work around on this?

No support on intel Mac either, very disappointing. All we can do is keep asking or prey an awesome coder can get it to work

Bump… any1 have any update on this issue?
Any input will be highly appreciated.

Hey! Sorry about the lack of replies, official BlackMagic support for mac is slated for 5.6.
If you’re building the engine from source, it should be available in the next few months on our main branch on Github.

Cheers!
