Black spots on imported FBX models

I’m new to UE and getting troubles while importing FBX models.

Let’s take a random free mesh of a sofa:

After importing, there are black sports on the mesh floor that couldn’t be lit and always stay black.

Tried disabling “Remove degenerations” while importing – doesn’t change anything.

Also, tried some other meshes and sometimes I get similar artifacts.

Hi, I think it’s a problem with object’s normals. Try this: “modeling tools / Mesh Atribbutes / Normals”. That will cause it to reconfigure or repair the normals.

I managed to fix a similar issue by setting Import Settings → Mesh → Normal Import Method to Compute Normals from Import Normals.
