when processing large scenes in high detail i am getting regular black-screening - the screen goes black after a few hours (about 1/2 way through the project) and i cant access or use the computer however the mouse still works ?
i have 3300 images in my scene - at normal detail it works fine but high quality this happens every time and i have to manually shut down my PC
i am running nvidia driver 436.48 btw am now updating to 441.87

I then suppose your machine’s hardware is a bit weaker and on the other hand RC uses the full potential of your machine so yes this could possibly happen. I recommend you to let it sit while it works and wait till it finishes for using the computer in other way. It is a heavy process and should not be interrupted.
i see this in my logs however

you can close this - updating the NVidia drivers has stopped the black screening when RC freezes so i can now use the task manager to force-quit.
