Black glitches where insets were made. Any way to fix?

Total beginner here. Been trying to follow along with the YouTube tutorial linked below, but when I got to this part about making insets, Unreal started generating these black glitches. They move when I move, but are stagnant for the most part when I am. They are also only over where I tried to make the insets. Have tried googling//searching reddit, but honestly not even sure what language to use to describe the problem? Noise? Aliasing?

Any help is appreciated. Even simply explaining how I can delete just this part of the scene and start over. Thanks!

Can you post screenshots of what is happening?

Yep! Below:

I’ll have to watch the video to get an idea of what exactly is going on but one thing you could try is in modeling mode under attributes, there’s an option for correcting normals

Somebody over on Reddit was able to help!

It seemed there were a bunch of additional faces set over top of the inset. To fix, I went: Modeling Mode → PolyGroup Edit → And then if I hovered over where the flickering was, I could see multiple faces appearing. Many which had an almost transparent (checkerboard pattern) sections. I would then select each of those “wrong” faces, and hit “Delete Faces,” which slowly gave way to the original true inset. (One thing of note: it seems to be possible to delete the actual wall that I wanted to keep, so going one at a time was key.) Once I’d cleared all the wrong faces and hit apply, the flickering stopped!
