Black eyelashes

Hello, I exported a character from Daz 3d to Blender. In blender, the eyelashes are outlined in a black outline, but it is not visible during rendering. Then I export from Blender to Unreal Engine and the black outline of the eyelashes is also transferred and I don’t know how to fix it.

The black outline on the eyelashes is likely caused by the way transparency is handled when exporting from Blender to Unreal. Here are a few things to try:

  1. Material Settings in Unreal: Check the eyelash material in Unreal and make sure it’s set to “Masked” or “Translucent” blend mode, depending on the effect you want.
  2. Alpha Channel in Texture: Ensure the alpha channel is correctly applied to the eyelash texture, as Unreal sometimes misinterprets it.
  3. Double-Sided Material: Enable “Two Sided” in the material settings if the black outline appears from certain angles.

Hopefully, one of these helps!

I tried the first option, if you set the transparency, then everything becomes transparent, both the eyelashes and the black outline, as if everything is in one layer.

Got it, the answer is in this video.
