To clarify my question about performance, the most heavy part of probably the traces I guess (?), and do you use async traces for that or do you have to let them run on the game thread?
You can disable our traces if you like and use your own to adjust feet and root. We will need to look into this further to answer your question. Can you email us please?
Hello @
We’re interested in trying out your plugin at EnterspaceVR. Is there any way to get hold of a version for UE4.16?
thanks,
Hello ,
Can you please email and we will connect you with the appropriate person?
Thank you!
Best,
So on the latest 4.17 verion of BIK, I think 8.1? the VR calibration to character now only works with arms straight out but not down at the sides. (makes little baby arms) Anyone know of a way to make arms down calibration work?
On death I am disabling IK for VR and simulating physics on char. I then teleport the char to a new spawn. Issue I have is the character keeps flashing when simulating, and it will not attach back when I enable IK and stop the physics simulation. Anyone have this problem before with physics using the plugin?
Is there blueprint version?
The plugin is a binary code plugin but works with blueprint projects.
Additionally, we have sent out a 0.9 update email to all customers. If somehow your email was missed please contact us over email and we will send out another email right away!
Best,
We did try to recreate this issue but weren’t able to. Can you email us your a simple test case so that we can debug?
Thanks!
Is it possible to target another bone instead of one of the attached BIK components?
Is this able to work on source built engine if it does expect me to email you asap. I’ve been using Ikinema indie runtime and I cannot use custom engine as I need to modify some parts of the engine to work on my project.
Requires a slight bit of fiddling (change a build number, rename a file when packaging etc), but otherwise, yes, works with source built engine.
They provide both a launcher and a source version, so you would just use a source version for a built engine and it should work. Ill be trying it myself when 4.19 comes out
Am I able to test?
How does the 6 point tracking setup work? Do I need a vive with 3 extra vive trackers?
Yes, 3 trackers would be required. You can also get around with 2 if you want the pelvis to be predicted instead of tracked.
