Big News - "Project Nile" 3ds Max Eporter Plugin

Doesn’t this use LPV though? The clips released so far are interesting, but hardly incredible. It still looks like a step down from what can be achieved in UE4 standalone. This is why I’m never worried about these sorts of engines - the quality just isn’t there for the AAA+ firms IMO.

I work for a large (by NZ standards) architectural firm in the visualisation team. If we could change one thing about the Revit - Max - UE4 workflow, it would be a live link between max and UE4 and a means to manage it, particularly around mesh instancing (30+ storey towers, fully glazed = a lot of mullions/transoms/glazed panels). Max remains useful for us - we can really fine-tune things in there and get our material UV’s nailed down.

We would be more than happy to be part of any beta testing for this, if that’s possible. Even if you need more general thoughts, just sing out.
