Big issue with Composure and translucent material

Hello,

there is a big issue with composure and translucent materials.
As you can see in the image in my composure layer (on the left) the translucent material takes the focus level of the background, while in the camera preview in editor the focus is correct.
I can’t figured out how to solve this issue, any idea?

Thank you

keyframe the focus?
or use a focus tracking object?

Nope, the focus on that specific translucent object is just ignored in favor of the background. Just in Composure, in the viewport everything is correct.

I’m having the same issue (one year later). The only workaround I’ve found so far is to switch the material for the keyed layer to “Masked”, and enable “Dither Opacity Mask” so that temporal AA softens the matte a bit. Seems like Composure is not handling the separate depth pass for translucent materials the same way as the general viewport. What I notice is the DOF on translucent materials renders the corresponding DOF for whatever is behind those materials. Hence, my assumption that translucent materials are not showing up in depth and aren’t getting a separate depth pass.
