Beware of this scam

I was hit by a scam this afternoon and lost 300 Euros. The fellow pretends to be FAB (3 weeks ago) or Sketchfab (today) and says that Sketchfab needs access to my bank account and that I must send 300 euros (returnable) to verify my trader status. Well. I fell for it. Please be aware of these scams. Epic/FAB must have been aware of this scam because I was almost ensnared in it 3 weeks ago when I could not follow the scam’s suggestions; as I did not have 300 Euros in my account at the time. Perhaps the complexity of getting a FAB seller account was to blame. FAB assumed I was a business and asked for company registration which, of course, I don’t have. In fact I’m a sole trader, 77 years old, and retired. 300 Euros is a lot o me and my pension is not much more than that. And it’s bloody well Christmas. I’m depressed. Don’t follow in my footsteps. Merry Christmas. I’ll try to post a screen grab of part of the conversation that cost me dear.

I have more information on the scammer, who is based in Lithuanian. Here are his company records

I have emailed him asking if he would care to return the money he stole from me.

Thanks Jay. I did hesitate for a moment before I clicked the link offered by my bank. ■■■■. I should have seen through it.
