Better modeling tools

Take example of GTKRadiant for Doom 3 That’s a very good modeling tool for an editor that age. We can’t even bend a wall or a pipe easily in UE4 Editor. Making curve surfaces should be a breeze but it’s not so yes I would definitely see a better modeling tool than going in Bender with it’s messy shortcuts and relying on an external editor to make something that the UE 4 editor should definitely have.

Yes I wouldn’t use the UE4 for weird shapes or tricky modeling currently.

Well, now that you mention. I think we could do with more primitive shapes, like arcs, or let us save some customed shape so we can easily reuse, for blocking out the level, & enable the BSP shape to be exported as FBX or something so we can use an external 3D package to model the correct environments using these geometry as references.

I think that would not be bad, but not super highly important neither. I mean, what you can do now, choose your favourite 3D application and make those shapes you want, and then import and block out the level.

You can convert BSP to a static mesh if you want to export it to a 3D modeling program.
