Hi,
1.
The ligthing in Unreal Engine seems very limited.
(I am only using it for a few days :), forgive me my harsh judgement).
I have many HDR maps that are great for producing still images in 3ds max.
It would be great to take advantage of them in Unreal Engine.
The ambient light and HDR usage in Unreal seems limited. It produces low quality shadows.
HDRs can produce more realistic results cause they take into concideration the clouds, trees and whatever there is on the HDR file.
Unless Unreal Engine produces
- HDR-reflections for materials would also be useful.
For example in 3dsmax and Vray you can create a material with a HDR-based reflection.
There can be multiple materials in the scene and every one of them could a separate HDR in the reflection slot.
