Hey everyone, quick question about workflow.
I’m not totally sure this is the right section, so apologies in advance if it isn’t — but I could really use some insight from other Unreal devs. I’ve been building out all my gameplay mechanics inside a template project: animations, blueprints, inputs, the whole package. Everything works the way I want it to.
Now I’m at the point where I want to move into actual world/level creation and start laying out my environment. Ideally, I’d like to move all the mechanics I’ve built into a brand-new map so I can begin proper environmental design.
Is that the right move?
Can I safely migrate everything from my template into a new level/world, or is it better practice to continue building out the game inside the level I’ve already been working in?
I’d appreciate any advice on the best workflow or any pitfalls I should watch out for. Thanks!
