I am looking for a solution where I can export a 3D model from Reality Capture and eventually have it formatted in KMZ format. I realize that this will probably involve a DAE file format, however I cannot find a way of then embedding to kml without having to format the kml file manually. Thank you for any help.

You can export as kmz directly in reality, but not as a model export, but an orthographic projection. You can read more about it here.
Similarly, my client is asking for the RC _output to be wrapped in a KML model _which they can import into vGIS software (www.vgis.io).
vGIS software displays BIM, GIS and reality capture data from their current partners Autodesk, Bentley, Leica and Esri in AR. There does not appear to be a direct route from RC yet.
It may be that exporting to one of their Partner’s products, such as Autodesk Recap Pro, may be the route to go down at this time.
Can I request the consideration of adding this KML-wrapped export option to RC ?

Yeah need a solution to handle GIS files such as KMZ, KML, even geojson
Can’t find anything further than UE’s Georeferencing plugin
