So from my point of view the best practice is:
- turn on Unlit mode
- turn off Realtime mode
- turn off Anti-aliasing
- turn off Translucency
- turn off Atmosphere
- turn off Particle Sprites
Those elements are expesive so without them performace shoud be better but you should still work
