I’ve been researching power supplies lately because I’m planning to upgrade my gaming PC and want to make sure I get something reliable enough for a high-end build. There are quite a few options available, and I’m finding it difficult to decide which one would be the right choice.
I’m mainly looking for a power supply that can handle demanding gaming hardware without issues. Wattage, build quality, efficiency, cooling, and long-term reliability matter to me. I’d also prefer something that runs quietly and has enough capacity for future upgrades.
While comparing options, I came across two products I really liked.
[MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5, Fully Modular Compact Gaming
I also found this other option, which seems worth considering.
[ASUS ROG Strix 1000W Platinum (Fully Modular Power
Both look good to me overall, but I’m not sure which one would be the better choice for a high-end gaming setup. I don’t want to spend money on something that is unnecessarily powerful, but I also don’t want to compromise on reliability.
Has anyone used either of these power supplies? Which one would you choose, and are there any particular things I should consider before making a decision?
Would appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience building high-end gaming PCs.
