I'm hoping someone has some tips for fixing overexposed exteriors. There seem to be a lot of methods but the ones that are the simplest only work for real images that have metadata. Exporting as an EXR and using tone mapping doesn't help much, unless I'm missing something.
For 3D renders, what are the best methods? Do you use luminosity masks? Blend the images using some kind of software? I know I can just take a second render with the properly exposed exterior and just mask it out in photoshop but I'm hoping there's a more efficient method that experienced users use.
Here's an an image to better illustrate the issue that I'm referring to. The scene outside the window is overexposed and you can barely see it.
