Best low cost Cameras for Multi Camera Photogrammetry Rig

Please suggest lowest cost cameras setup or idea in the view of Multi-Camera Photogrammetry Rig for full body scane.

There are rigs out there using raspberry pi cameras…

They will work but don’t expect to catch all the tiny details.

From what I have seen in on the net in the past few years such a rig will cost you anywhere from about $20k all the way up to $100k+. That is, if you need all the fine details…

Here’s some examples that will likely cost you less than $10k to put together:

Sir, thanks for your guide .

Hi Yogesh,

As far as cameras go most of our customers preference either Canon or Nikon for photogrammetry.

When you consider the price point of most entry level prosumer Canon / Nikon DSLR’s against the sensor quality, resolution and lens quality you really can’t go wrong.

In the Canon range, the 2000D is a great camera for capturing geometry either full body or face. If you could afford to spend a little more then the 200D which will give you better texturing results.

Also, what many of our customers is mix the cameras on their rigs. i.e. using the lower costs cameras (ie. 2000D) for the geometry and base texturing and then adding a small number of higher resolution cameras like the Canon 7D’s to capture texture detail on the face.
