Best Graphics Card

Its funny all the cards mentioned are in the same sliding low to high overlapping range of great performance Titan, 780, 780 Ti, 970, 980. Some just have a higher top end, however all are well beyond what you need for a very great gaming display rig.

They all game great. Titan is an hybrid gaming card with Double Precision enabled at a higher level than other Cuda cards (Nvidia’s specialized scientific language, that you don’t need to learn for gaming…Its there though), also it has 6 GB memory more than almost all other cards with a few exceptions.(Usefull for people doing GPU Rendering, again you likely won’t need that). Hence Nvidia charged $300 more for it as the price has stayed commercially at $1000 (Premium).

Like other said, you don’t need a Titan for purely Gaming, though it can perform gaming fine. (no stuttering on Watch Dogs and Shadow of Morder unlike others…due to the memory as these games push other cards close to their 3GB or 4GB memory limit… :stuck_out_tongue:

That said most indie devs do not get anywhere near these AAA games as far as memory needed and a 3Gig (last gen), or 4G cards (New Generation) is fine in the case of the GTX970 $335 price range. It’s an excellent card with top notch overclocking on air and has low power requirements so wont burn your computer to the ground with heat.

Exactly ^^, and that is why i wrote NEXT Titan is best choice if one can wait and afford it. It is also only one choice if you want develop game with physics. Also new architecture/philosophy (in 980s now) is focused on saving up power and data transfer to DRAM, so new titan will not boil water for coffee or fry eggs.
