Best gaming PC 2026– which one is really worth it?

Hey guys

I’ve been struggling for a while now to decide which gaming pc to go with. I checked so many reviews on top blogs like PC Gamer, and even scrolled through threads, but still confused. Some say prebuilt is better, some say custom build, and honestly its a bit overwhelming. One is this, and the other one is also really solid. Both of them look great on paper and have tons of features. I just want something that can handle the latest games smoothly, no heating issues, and something that will last at least 3–4 years without me upgrading every few months. Both have tons of reviews, features are amazing, but I can’t make up my mind. I need your help to decide which one to go with; maybe some experts here can guide me better.

Hello,

First you need to decide if you want a Laptop or a PC.

Laptops can be loud when under heavy load. (Like Gaming or using Unreal Engine)

Laptops are also less upgradable.

Any 2000$ laptop or PC should be relevant for 3-4+ years.

You could get a less expensive PC and upgrade the GPU in the future.

You could get a PC that does not have all of it’s RAM slots populated and add more RAM in the future. (Most PCs have 4 slots for RAM)

There is a current shortage on RAM, but I think pre-builts are less affected by currently inflated RAM prices.

Pre-builts have an overall warranty whereas custom built you’d have a warranty with each individual component.

https://pcpartpicker.com/ is a great website. You can look at many custom builds + component prices and compare those to what a pre-built is selling for.
