Benoit L'hoest - Tactical Grenades : Smoke and Flashbang

The Tactical Grenade System is a complete, ready-to-use smoke and flashbang gameplay feature combining true volumetric rendering, dynamic interaction, and AI-aware behavior.
Built entirely in Blueprints (no C++ required), it is designed for quick integration into any Unreal Engine project.

Fully network replicated and multiplayer ready.

Smoke Grenade:

  • Fully volumetric smoke that dynamically adapts to the environment

  • Blocks AI visibility using the visibility channel

  • Interactive system:

    • Shoot through the smoke

    • Disperse the smoke with explosions

Flashbang Grenade:

  • Easy integration via Blueprint Interface + Actor Component

  • Post-process flash effect with realistic behavior:

    • Intensity dynamically scales based on distance and camera orientation

  • Works seamlessly for both player and AI

⚠️ Gameplay Camera are currently not supported as there is no way to add post process effect dynamically to this component yet.
