This prehispanic origin handwoven stool is made from a natural fiber called Tule (Scirpus americanus / Schoenoplectus americanus), also called “junco, tule esquinado or tulillo”. Habitat: This fiber is harvested from swamps, estuaries, wetlands and wet soils or riverbeds. Uses: Handwoven mats, baskets, bags and figurines.
