Being Ignored

Ok, I have noticed a pattern emerging that is starting to bother me.

I have posted two threads on the forum, the first onegot 6 responses. Then I asked another question and nothing. I posted another thread about a different topic and nothing.

I went to the AnswersHub, and posted a question. No response.

I went to the IRC channel, and no response.

Why am I being ignored? Is it that people do not know the answers or that they think I should figure it out myself? Has anyone else noticed this happening?

Just depends on where in the community you go I guess… and at what times of activity.

you only posted your second thread 6 hours ago, you should give it more time, your not being ignored, its probably just because nobody that’s viewed your thread so far knows the answer.

also the answerhub is overcrowded so will probably take even longer to get a response, witch is why I don’t ever use it.

It always depends on the question how long it takes until someone answers + it’s weekend -> most people are online during the week

As has said, it’s a weekend - people typically don’t spend the entirety of the day online. People like to spend their free time with family and friends. You’ll always have faster responses during the week, typically.

You’re not being ignored, you’ve only posted them today. Just give it time.

All of the above + there arent many people with Android experience yet. And even if your question isn’t Android specific it may very well be ignored by non-android developers since they dont check that section of the forum very often.

That’s the truth. I check Marketplace and Feedback for Epic; Content Creation through Engine Source & Github; and Community Content, Tools and Tutorials. Since I can’t effectively test on iOS, Android, or VR, I completely ignore those sections for now. Meaning even if I could help with a more general problem, if it’s posted in the specific subforums, I’ll never see it.

It just takes time. There is new information for every part of the engine every day. Hopefully you can find the solution to your problem and share it so that we all can avoid it. That willingness to share information to help eachother is what makes this community great.

When I don’t get answers I assume no one else has had the problem
This engine is still pretty young.
