Being a Web Developer and a Game Developer possible?

Hi, i’ve wondered a lot if it is possible to learn both, sure it will be hard but will it be possible?

I’m asking because i can’t decide for what i want to be, i really enjoy both, i first tried C# so i know the basics of C# and it was really fun,
i then bought a course for Web Development to learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, and MySQL, it was really fun too and i enjoyed it as much
as i did with Game Development using C#.

I really want to do both things, i don’t care on how long it takes to learn, i just want to know if it is possible so i’m not wasting my time trying to learn both things

Kind Regards,
Jesper

You probably have a long life ahead of you - there’s time for both, I’m sure.

Why shouldn’t it be possible? :stuck_out_tongue: I also learn other stuff beside game development -> so go with both ^^

Thanks both, that’s what i wanted to hear
I’m excited ^^

Absolutely possible! I do it for a living. You can also mix the two

I started out doing both, so I don’t see why not. You’ll just have to set aside enough time to learn both fields. =)

Don’t see why not. I know bits of application development, web development and game development. Hell I even know how to 3D Model, and recently started drawing.

My biggest problem though is that I’m not at a stage where any of those skills are marketable, since I pick them up on a semi-random rotation every few months or so, so definitely pick a few and focus on them. My advice is probably learn Web Development to the point of proficiency first, since there is never not going to be a company that needs a website, or needs to update their existing website… the demand for game devs is slim to none (in my area at least but ymmv).
