Begginer's doubt: do you start modelling on UE4 from zero or do you import from other (3dmax,etc)?

Hi guys, I downloaded UE4 2 days ago and I want it to create Arch Viz, but when I look for modelling tutorials I find people import their models from other programs… is UE4 not recommended to build from scratch? If it is, how to make walls, floors and windows in precise shapes and positions?

If you have any suggestions on free tutorial videos or pdfs I would be very glad!

UE4 only has very simple geometry tools. You can use UE4 to block out a level and test gameplay before detailing it with meshes that you bring in from another program.
If you’re looking for a 3D program Blender is free.
