Beam Always Pointing To 0, 0, 0

Just watched a tutorial on how to create a laser beam, made it and whenever I place down the beam, it always stretches to 0, 0, 0. No matter what I do. It’s supposed to follow a linetrace, but it absolutely ignores it. Here is the video. Thanks in advance!

(Go to the blueprint segment of the video.)

You need to show your code :slight_smile:

I have no code left, with and without code in the beams blueprint, it always points to 0,0,0.

The blueprint is what tells it not to point at 0,0,0, the line trace. Presumably you have that?

Yes, but it is not connected to anything.

When i did have it, It still didn’t do anything

That might be because the code was wrong :wink:

Most people get the line trace wrong in the beginning.

It will never work without it.

I followed exactly what was in the tutorial, so I’m not sure why it’s happening. I’ll try to recreate it and then send a screenshot

@ClockworkOcean
I seemed to have gotten the vector name wrong. Sorry about that!

Good luck! :smiley:
