I’m trying to fix my Battle Royale map and unsure where to start when it comes to selecting teams. I want players to be able to select whether they are in solos, duos, trios, or squads in the pre-game lobby. I know island settings can decide that, but my friend is trying to be able to do a custom game within the map and he can’t do it for some reason. I have no idea how customs really work, so he suggested there be different columns you can walk into to choose which team size you want to be in, and it should then load a separate server with your selected choice of team sizes. I don’t know if this makes sense, but I’m trying to help him out since he’s trying to help promote my map I’m just not sure how exactly to do it! I started to try to work on it with Class selector devices, but I don’t think that’s what I need to use. Please help!!
To make custom settings for teams,
In Island Settings Use Dynamic Teams and set the number of teams to be the total number of different teams in your game.
To set up custom gameplay, remove all Win Condition related stuff from Island Settings, then you can use devices or verse to create the gameplay
For example setting up a tracker to count eliminations, then using an end game device to end the round or game when the tracker counts to a certain number.
Lots of devices, lots of gameplay options.
I’m not sure if UEFN allows us to load seperate servers for a game, unless via a Matchmaking Portal.
But you can load different areas of the same map depending on the players choices and have them teleport or spawn there.
