Basic Multiplayer Passenger Vehicle Update

Hello, just letting people know I submitted the 4.9 update for Multiplayer Passenger Vehicle. Inside I have made a few changes, mostly with making the replication more efficient on the network. Removed a bunch of excess RPC’s, changed the vehicle weapon setup so that the person using the weapon will always have smooth movement and control of it, even if it is laggy and choppy on the other side of the network (Was a problem before)

If you intend to use the project as a part of the game jam, I would strongly recommend integrating the update (if the updates apply to what you are doing)
The update has not been posted by Epic yet, when it is, please let me know if there are any problems or any changes that are desired asap!

One Q: can the driver use the vehicle weapon if there’s no passenger on board?

Thanks! and no, but that’s a good idea, I might look at making that feature for it.-- Also, still have not received any notifications or responses from epic, so the update still isn’t available. I’m guessing the marketplace people are swamped.

Sad to hear that you haven’t heard anything from Epic yet.

I fear that this is just going to keep getting worse for them (i.e Epic). If you think about it, every week they add new content to the marketplace. Roughly, every three months they do a major update to the engine and have to revise ALL content. That a lot of work to do!

Aye, and the marketplace team isn’t large. New engine versions seem to come a little too fast.

The update for this project has been posted! I didn’t see an update flag for it on my launcher, but I deleted and re-downloaded it and it was the updated version. So let me know if there are any bugs or problems asap! I will look into setting it up so the driver can use the weapon if the weapon seat is not possessed.
