Basic Material using hundreds of instructions?? How?

Hi - How does a basic default lit, opaque material with just a simple color input have 212 instructions and 3/16 texture samplers?!?!? I’ve just created a basic material in the editor and added the one color node!! This is in UE5.1. Is this a bug!?!

Hi, I’ve responded in the other thread but essentially the introduction of Strata and refactors required for it are the likely explanation for the increased shader count.
