I have made a ceiling fan in 3DS max and exported to fbx into UE4. I need the blades to rotate and not the rest, I know how to rotate an entire object using blueprints but don’t have a clue how to do this on one part… The only thing I can think of is vertex colours which I’ve used in simple grass wind but it’s not really the same thing. Any help would be great.
export the blades as a single part, export the housing as a single part, create an actor in ue4 add both meshes to it, then use a timeline to animate the blades, hope that helps.
