Basic animation for ceiling fan

I created a ceiling fan in 3DS max and exported to fbx into UE4. I would like to rotate the blades of the fan without moving the base… I know how to rotate a full mesh with blueprints but not part of one. Do I have to export as 2 separate meshes and then try to line them back up in ue4 or is they’re a simple way to differentiate the 2 pieces and keep them as one piece?

I’m pretty sure it needs to be 2 static meshes. 1 for the fan blades and 1 for the base. A blueprint will rotate the fan blade. Similar to this
