Basic Actor destruction on collision with explosion

I forgot how to do this. I did it once b4 in an older version but I cant find the tutorial. How do u place an actor into a map, have it explode when character runs into it.

That and draw a basic hud that is functioning

Essentially I made a new actor blueprint and placed it into the map. Even when I add the collision sphere it doesn’t seem to respond. Do I have to Draw something into the third person blueprint to make it work. Or add some type of widget/function.

And for the hood I just want it to either deplete or regenerate when running into the explosion.

just some beginner moderation.
