Barely Legible Laser Scan Point Clouds

I’m trying to combine a photo-generated point cloud with a laser scan taken with a BLK2GO.

I am having difficulty creating good control points in the laser scan because the displayed laser scan data is not very dense. Here is what it looks like in RC:

I cropped the BLK2GO data to improve legibility, but it didn’t help much.

This is what the same laser scan looks like in Cyclone:

Is there any way to increase the displayed density of a laser scan point cloud in Reality Capture? If ALL the point cloud data was displayed, I would be able to create good control points more easily.

Are there any other potential solutions to this problem?

Hi LaserTimes,
what you see it seems like a sparse point cloud (after import and align). Have you tried to create a mesh from your data?
Also, BLK2GO is not supported laser scan, as it is hand held laser scanner. In mostly cases it produces unordered point cloud without laser scan position. What were your steps to export the laser scan from Cyclone?

One of the potential solutions: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020653080-How-to-import-any-scan-data-to-RealityCapture-using-CloudCompare-and-Faro-Scene-How-to-create-ordered-point-cloud-from-unordered-
There should be possibility to create “fake” laser scan positions also in Cyclone
