Description:
Hello, my name is Andrey Palamarchuk, I’m a 3D Environment Artist and Level Designer. I started my level designer journey with UE 4.24. In the design of levels, I often use light and before the release of lumens it was a struggle of compromises between “beautiful and simple”. Very often adjusting the light was not an easy task. But as soon as I installed the UE5 beta version with lumens, I was simply delighted with the result. This project was conceived as an experiment with light and level design was not given due attention. Just a picture and a lot of different dynamic light sources. Regardless of the results, it was interesting to take part in the competition. I wish good luck to all participants of the competition.
I feel like we excitedly rushed in the bar, was welcomed by the rotating lights and warm atmosphere, and then we calmed down after seeing the pretty lady behind the bar waiting to take our order. “I’ll have one donut and a martini. Shaken. Not stirred.” Sure, we’re the first people in the bar, but more people will come later!
Thank you for sharing your work and including the links to the assets used! Besides working with Lumen, did you learn anything else new while participating in this challenge?
Hello, do you want cheese, olives or grapes for your martini?
Thank you for criticizing animation )) I started studying animation in UE not long ago and still don’t know much. In a 3D editor with animation, I’m much better. But I’m still at the learning stage and will fix it soon. To be honest, every project that I do at UE teaches me something new.
