Baking Animation Sequence to Control Rig resets Virtual Bones

Cannot edit animation sequence with a control rig without removing any changes to virtual bones like ik_foot_root. Seems like baking reverts them to a T pose configuration. have tried using the Mannequin Control Rig and the MetaHuman Control rig.

Steps to reproduce:
Open lyra, open any animation sequence, select edit in sequencer, bake to control rig, select CR, save the sequencer, inspect the virtual bones in the animation sequence.
