Bake to Control Rig - Edit Controller data via Gizmo?

I’m loving Control Rig, and have successfully baked some animation to it in Sequencer. Thing is, I’d love to be able to edit keys/curves by using the control gizmos in the level viewport. I can manipulate them, but new position/rotation is not recorded. I don’t see them doing this in the lastest livestream (they edit the curves directly). Anyone know if/how to do this?

If you manipulate a gizmo, then go to the Control Rig tracks in the Sequencer and click the + key button on a control (or parameter of control) it will add a key at the gizmo’s loc/rot. Not the fastest method, but it works! If anyone knows how/if you can set it to auto-key that would be ideal.
