Today I noticed that my cart total was higher when converted to Euros. I went to check the Dollar → Euro exchange rate… it’s not at all the one you apply…
At this time: 1.00 USD = 0.94533928 €
My cart total: $175.90 = €199.44
Which gives an exchange rate: $1.00 = €1.1334
This is rather disadvantageous for us, buyers.
This surprised me and I would like to understand…
Do you add a percentage on the prices for us European buyers?
Ouch, I haven’t actually bought anything yet with FAB, they’ve changed the system that was in the previous marketplace.
Now they change the current dollar and add the VAT according to the country and you can’t see it until checkout, which is terribly upsetting.
I just saw that an item I had to buy now costs now 10 euros more.
My God, I hope it’s in the roadmap to put a fixed price with the VAT applied.
By the way, it is legal not to show the VAT applied on the invoice, doesn’t it have to be broken down?
Well it seems that we will have to pay 20% more for our assets…
I had made a wrong calculation that gave 16% because I had forgotten an item which had misled me…
By selecting the right language the price displayed is indeed in Euros and when you add it to the cart, the price is indeed increased by 20%. I just noticed it and I came for that.
Well, I hope it can be changed too, one thing is the language and another is the currency of your country. By the way, it doesn’t come up in euros when I change the language, I hope it’s a bug and not that they think Spain isn’t in Europe.
Another curious detail is that it seems that they apply the VAT after the conversion to euros. From yesterday to today it has gone from 0.95 to 1.05 so we also pay more VAT.
It really seems that this FAV has been released in early access.
